1. This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Axxtreme Labs (“Laya”, “we”, “us”). They cover the Laya app on Android and iPhone, this website and anything you buy from us. By using Laya you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use Laya.
The privacy policy is part of these terms.
2. Not medical advice
Laya is a general wellness app. It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent or monitor any disease or condition.
- Its scores, ranges, patterns, suggestions and reports describe your own data against your own usual. They are information, not medical advice.
- Laya depends on readings from your watch, ring and other apps, which can be wrong, late or missing. Its estimates can be wrong too.
- Cycle estimates are estimates only. They are not birth control and must not be used to prevent pregnancy.
- The doctor checklist points things out for you to raise with a doctor. Only a doctor can say what they mean.
Talk to a qualified health professional before you make any decision about your health, training, diet or medication, and if you feel unwell. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
3. Who can use Laya
You must be at least 16 to use Laya, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live. If you buy a plan, you must be allowed to make purchases through your store account.
4. Plans
- Free covers everything Laya shows you about your own body. No account, no trial and no ads.
- Plus adds deeper analysis that also runs on your phone. It is sold monthly, yearly, or as a one-time lifetime purchase.
- Pro, where offered, includes everything in Plus and adds features that use Laya’s servers. Each such feature is described before you buy it, together with any monthly limit, and the privacy policy is updated before any of them goes live.
Free features never become paid. “Lifetime” means for as long as we offer Laya Plus.
On Android and iPhone, plans are bought through Google Play or the App Store, under their terms. If we sell a plan on this website, Dodo Payments sells it to you as merchant of record, and its terms also apply to the payment.
5. Subscriptions, trials and cancelling
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the price shown when you bought, until you cancel. Payment is charged to your Google Play or Apple account.
- Trials. A free trial, where offered, is shown before you start it, with the date it ends. In the app, the trial is offered once Laya has a week of your data, and the app reminds you 3 days before it ends. Unless you cancel before the trial ends (the store may require at least 24 hours before), the subscription starts and you are charged.
- Cancelling. On Android: Google Play › your profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. On iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions. In Laya, Settings›Subscription opens the right place. For a website purchase, use the link in your receipt email or write to us. Uninstalling Laya does not cancel a subscription.
- After cancelling, your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. If you stop paying, you keep everything you made, and every free feature keeps working.
6. Refunds
Ask within 7 days of any payment and we refund it, no questions asked.
- Google Play and website purchases: write to support@layahealth.app. You can also ask Google Play under its own refund policy.
- App Store purchases: only Apple can issue refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Access bought with a refunded payment ends when the refund is made. Nothing here limits any right to a refund that you have under the law where you live.
7. Prices
Prices are set per country and shown in your store, with any tax, before you buy. While you stay subscribed, you keep the price you signed up at: any rise applies to new subscribers only. If a store requires your consent to a price change, it will ask you.
8. Your data
Your data is yours. Laya keeps it on your phone, and the privacy policy explains what that means. Because there is no copy elsewhere, you are responsible for keeping your own backups (Settings›Your data). Deleting the app or its data deletes your history, and we cannot recover it.
9. Using Laya fairly
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Laya on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. Please do not:
- copy, resell or redistribute the app, or access it in ways it is not designed for;
- reverse engineer it, except where the law allows you to;
- attack, probe or overload our servers, or get around limits or payments;
- share a sign-in to unlock other people’s phones;
- use Laya to break the law or harm anyone.
We may suspend server features for an account that does these things, and we will tell you why. Laya, its design, names and logo belong to us; these terms do not give you any rights in them beyond this licence.
10. Other services
Laya reads from services you choose, such as Health Connect, Apple Health, Google Health, your wearable’s app and Hevy export files. They are run by others under their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or for the accuracy of the data they provide.
11. Changes
We improve Laya over time, and features may change. If we remove a feature you paid for during a period you paid for, we refund the rest of that period. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you in the app and on this page before the change applies. If you keep using Laya after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can stop using Laya and cancel.
12. Disclaimers
We work hard to make Laya accurate and reliable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose, or that its readings and estimates are accurate. Nothing in these terms limits warranties or consumer guarantees that the law where you live does not allow us to exclude.
13. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or goodwill;
- we are not liable for decisions you make based on Laya, which is not medical advice (section 2);
- our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us for Laya in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
14. Ending this agreement
You can stop at any time: cancel any subscription and delete the app. We may stop offering Laya or a feature, with reasonable notice where we can and a refund as described in section 11. Sections 2, 6, 12, 13 and 15 continue after this agreement ends.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes go to the courts of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts. Please write to us first; most problems are quicker to solve by email.
16. If you got Laya from the App Store
If Laya links these terms as its licence agreement, these points also apply. Otherwise, Apple’s standard licensed application end user licence agreement applies to your use of the iPhone app, alongside these terms where they do not conflict.
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for Laya and its content.
- Your licence is to use Laya on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store’s Usage Rules allow.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Laya.
- If Laya fails to meet a warranty that applies, you can tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- We, not Apple, handle any claims about Laya, including product liability, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- We, not Apple, handle any claim that Laya infringes someone’s intellectual property.
- You confirm you are not in a country under a US government embargo or on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you.
